Stud fee shall be 2nd pick puppy from the litter (chosen by stud owner), which will be chosen
in person or via photographs, at stud owner’s choice by the time the puppies are 8 weeks of
age. Litter registration will be signed upon receipt of said puppy. If not chosen in person,
stud owner shall be responsible for payment of transportation fees to receive her puppy. Stud
owner shall reserve the right to assign the full registered name to said puppy, and shall have
the right to keep, sell to show home, or sell to pet home, at her discretion. Should stud owner
choose not to take a puppy, a fee of $XXXXX shall be paid to Stud owner upon signing of litter
registration.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
This contract guarantees the actual mating of the listed dogs.
Prior to Breeding, both stud & bitch shall be tested by a licensed veterinarian for Brucellosis.
The breeding is contingent upon both animals receiving a negative test result. Brucellosis
testing shall be paid by each respective owner. Bitch is to travel to stud for services or bitch
owner shall make arrangements to have fresh or frozen semen shipped in. All
collection/shipping charges shall be at the expense of the bitch owner. Bitches sent to stud
owner shall be bred either naturally or by AI, and all veterinarian fees shall be at the expense
of the bitch owner. At the time of this contract, current vet fees for AI are $XX per breeding. If
bitch owner does not object to stud owner handling the AI, it can be done for no cost. Stud
owner has bitch owner’s permission to do the AI’s personally - YES NO (circle one) Initials of
bitch owner________.
Owner of bitch has the right to call owner of stud to check on her condition while she is in
his/her care. Owner of stud will notify owner of bitch by phone/e-mail as to the date of
breeding(s) and make arrangements for bitch’s return to her owner. Owner of bitch is
required to contact owner of stud by phone within 24 hours of confirming pregnancy with
veterinarian. If the bitch fails to conceive, owner of bitch will notify owner of stud in writing,
within 90 days of breeding date above, requesting a repeat service. Unless such notice is
given, the return service is canceled. If bitch changes ownership or fails to conceive after
return service, this contract is terminated.
Owner of bitch will notify owner of stud by phone within 24 hours of the birth of the litter. Two
(2) live puppies whelped will constitute a litter. Owner of stud may make arrangements to view
litter as is convenient. Bitch owner agrees to submit photos of the resulting litter on a weekly
basis as follows: at birth, one week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, six
weeks, seven weeks, and eight weeks of age. The five thru 8 week photos must show each
puppy in a show stack profile and a head shot. (This is so that IF stud owner must choose her
puppy from photos, she can make a better choice.)
Bitch owner agrees not to knowingly sell or transfer any puppies whelped as a result of this
mating to any person or firm connected with the sale and resale of dogs, or to any person or
firm connected with any animal shelter or rescue agency. Owner of stud has right & obligation
to confiscate any puppies that are placed in any of these type facilities. Owner of bitch and
litter owner agrees that any puppies that are not kept by him/herself for the purpose of being
shown shall be placed as pets on spay/neuter agreements. Any puppies on full registration
and intact which are produced as a result of this breeding must remain the property of the
bitch owner for the duration that the puppy is intact. Bitch puppies shall not be leased to a
third party for breeding purposes.
Owner of bitch also agrees that any puppies resulting from this mating that are deemed as
“pet quality” will not be sold for the purpose of Show or Breeding stock. The “pet” puppies will
be sold with limited registrations and with Spay/Neuter Agreements. It is recommended that
the AKC Registration forms not be given to buyers of “pet quality” puppies until proof of
Spay/Neuter has been satisfactorily provided by new owner of puppy.
